Mother And Three Children From Austria Saved After Getting Lost On Blatnica

The search operation for the missing foreign nationals was successfully concluded, specifically a mother and her three children who got lost in the Blatnica area, which is located between Zenica and Teslic.

As Kenan Hrustanovic from the Zenica Mountain Rescue Service said, their car navigation led them onto a wartime road via Teslic.

“People often get lost on that road. At one point, they decided to leave the vehicle and continue on foot because the car was blocked,” he said.

They were disoriented and hypothermic and randomly called phone numbers, thereby making contact with the fire service in Zenica, which then called the Zenica Mountain Rescue Service.

A total of 18 rescuers were dispatched to the field, and within one to two hours, they managed to find the Austrian nationals, bringing the story to a happy ending.

They were hypothermic because they had spent several hours outdoors and, as Hrustanovic said, were under stress due to the entire situation.
