The Association of Victims and Witnesses of Genocide, the Movement “Mothers of the Srebrenica and Žepa Enclaves”, and the Association “Women of Podrinje” reacted today to what they called the shameful performance of the member of the BiH Presidency, Željka Cvijanović.
“After the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Serbia congratulated Aleksandar Vulin in an extremely rude manner and with the intention of insulting the victims from Bosnia and Herzegovina for helping the female students who were expelled from Sarajevo University for insulting the victims, Željka Cvijanović came to the defense of the shameful act of the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Serbia , a member of the Presidency from among the Serbian people,” it is stated in the press release of these associations.
It is added that it is saddening that a woman, a mother, acts extremely recklessly, protecting the ambassador without any empathy towards the victims of aggression in Bosnia and Herzegovina, instead of calling the ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Serbia to briefing, because he violates the decisions of authorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina (the University of Sarajevo is an institution in Bosnia and Herzegovina which makes decisions that must be respected by everyone, including ambassadors), and Cvijanović defends the ambassador.
“Mrs. Cvijanović, as a mother, don’t you feel a sense of shame and shame at the words ‘may we have killed you’, don’t you even sympathize with the mothers whose children were killed in the genocide, is it possible for a mother to act like that?! Your attitude towards the victims of genocide is extremely inhumane and for us victims, especially mothers, there is nothing left but pride, that we are not like you, that we respect other victims,” it is stated in the statement.
