The Central Electoral Commission is to take all measures to avoid new irregularities and that, in addition to the previous decisions, new the necessary rules and exceptions are adopted as well.

“Residents of BiH have been waiting for this moment for a long time. The reason for such a long period for calling re-elections is a need to remove a number of technical and legal obstacles to the organization of re-elections. Of course, first of all there is a need to protect the electoral rights of voters and political entities, and to review the details of events that occurred there on October 2nd , but were related to a number of irregularities, “said Hadziabdic.

She said they now all the conditions for issuing re-election are fulfilled and noted that this the operational logistics is a very challenging operation that required detailed planning.

“For the first time in the history of BiH, we have to prepare everything needed for the elections in 14 days, the same procedures that need 30 to 60 days in normal conditions.  Such situation required special rules,” added Hadžiabdić.

The right to vote can make all voters who were on the electoral list of Stolac municipality on 2nd October, and around 38,000 BAM will be needed for reelection. The money that the Central Electoral Commission needs will be taken from the reserve budget of BiH institutions.

In order to prevent abuse of the ballots for the repeated elections, different colors than those which have been printed for the elections in October will be used.
