Muhic: While Everyone was trying to save their lives, a miracle happened in Gorazde War Hospital

Alen Muhic was born in 1993 in the Gorazde hospital and is the child of a raped mother.

He wrote on Facebook yesterday, posting a very shocking status.

I have to write something on this date.

War 1993, February 20th. There are shots, crying, strong detonations, and great fear, whether we will see better tomorrow. While everyone was dealing with their own misery, and trying to save their lives, a miracle happened in the Gorazde War Hospital, the beginning of a sad story begins, but with a happy ending.

Darkness, thunder, rain, the rain was steadily pouring down, grenades fall, fight for life, save a child, Gorazde falls, children and babies cry, including me. I was born at the worst time, weighing 2.400 kg. A time when there was no food, no electricity, no water, nothing. Left by the mother, unfed, left at the mercy of life, to the medical staff of the hospital, who took care of that orphan. When there was no water, food, milk, it was taken from the other children, stolen from the house, brought, and given to that baby. Expired biscuits, powdered milk, just to survive. After 7 months of hardship, when the hospital could not take care of him anymore, he was lucky, adopted, taken care of.

If it weren’t for the Muhic family, there would be no me, my story, my life. My family and a happy ending.
