Adnan Delic, the Minister of Economy of the Canton Sarajevo (CS), met in Dubai with HE, Mohammed Al Shaibani, Executive Director of the Dubai Investment Corporation (ICD).
The interlocutors discussed the possibilities and potential investments that the ICD Corporation can bring to the CS, as well as the improvement of trade and business relations between the CS and Dubai.
The joint conclusion of Minister Delic and Director Shaibani is that relations are good and that there is a quality space for strengthening cooperation.
Serious negotiations
”I presented to HE Muhammad Al Shaibani several projects in CS that could be attractive for ICD corporations to invest in, and I am satisfied with his interest in the investment potentials of CS, ” mentioned Minister Delic, and pointed out that this was the initial meeting with the director of the ICD corporation.
He added that they have been communicating with representatives of the ICD Corporation for some time, who have shown interest in investing in the CS.
”This meeting is the beginning of deeper and more serious negotiations that we will continue in the following period, in order to realize some of the delegated projects, ” stated Minister Delic.
The Minister used the margins of business talks and thanked Director Shaibani for everything they have done so far for our homeland, including the generous aid package from the beginning of the pandemic, and especially for understanding and support in organizing Bosnia and Herzegovina’s (BiH) presentation at Expo 2020 Dubai.
More favorable treatment
ICD is one of the largest investment corporations in the world and was created as a consolidation of commercial and business assets of the Government of Dubai. These funds from various sectors include leading companies in the market in the field of financial services, transport, real estate, sports and recreation,and utilities. The ICD has been mandated by the Government of Dubai to globalize and popularize these services around the world.
A more favorable treatment has been agreed for the citizens of BiH, who will from now on undergo airport procedures at the terminal with other European countries, while earlier BiH was classified as a third world country.
