The RS Auditor General Duško Šnjegota said yesterday that the financial discipline in local communities has been improved, and added that this process is much slower than at the entity level.

After the meeting with the Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government Lejla Rešić and the President of the Union of Municipalities and Cities Mićo Mićić, Šnjegota stated that for the improvement of the financial discipline the Supreme Audit Institution of the RS public sector is responsible for that.

During the meeting they agreed for the organization of another conference, since the same mistakes every year is visible.

“Via the presentation of the main audit office of the public sector, all local governments should be showed the most common mistakes and what is necessary to fix”, said Minister Rešić.

The conference should be held in the middle of May, and the main topic will be the audit reports and problems that are evident every year, as well as looking for modalities that will remove all defects that appear in the audit reports today.
