Municipality Center Allocated 10.000 BAM for the Project ”Euromelanoma 2013”

euromelanom10.000 BAM are allocated from the budget of municipality Center in 2013 for the project ”Euromelanoma 2013”, which is implemented by the Association for prevention and fight against skin cancer melanoma in B&H, announced the Municipality Center.

This project was initiated by dr. Hana Helppikangas from the Department of dermatology of the clinical center of the University of Sarajevo, which is the organizer of the project as well.

The main objectives of this project are the prevention and early detection of skin cancer, especially melanoma, and promotion of health protection through educative brochures, flyers, posters and lectures.

1.475 people of age 10-90 years old are examined within this project at the Clinical Center of University of Sarajevo. Lectures in primary and high schools in the area of municipality center seemed to raise awareness of children and teenagers on the negative influence of UV radiation.
