13446237_1784471781789498_1311925012_oThe British spokeswoman who died on Friday due to injuries following an attack on Tuesday had a special relationship with Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Cox was stabbed on Tuesday and shot twice in front of Birstall library in North England. She died on Friday. She was murdered by Thomas Mair (52), who is currently on trial.

Cox was a main advocate for international aid, especially for the children of Syria. She supported receiving and hosting 3.000 Syrian children. She is also responsible for the change of British policy towards Syria, as well as for the British support in the fight against ISIS in Syria. She founded a group ‘All Party Parliamentary Friends of Syria.’ She publicly addressed David Cameron and Barack Obama because of their policy on Syria.

She also supported Labor Friends of Palestine & the Middle East and asked for the suspension of blockages in the Gaza Strip. She opposed the government’s closure and supported members of the movement “Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions,” who call up for the boycott of Israel because of their attacks on Palestine.

Jo Cox had a special relationship with Bosnia and Herzegovina, and she named her first child Lejla, after a victim of the Bosnia genocide she once met.

Cox has been providing support for Syria, Palestine, Sudan and the Balkans for her entire life, she visited Srebrenica and she held a camp for refugee children in East Bosnia where Serbian forces massacred 8.000 Muslims in 1995, writes Balkan Insight.

She had a husband and two children.

Her death is a great shock to the public in Great Britain.

The murderer of Jo Cox, Thomas Mair, who was born in Scotland, was described by his neighbours as a decent man. Before he killed Cox, he shouted ”Put Great Britain in the first place,” and he repeated on his trial ”My name is death for all the traitors, freedom to the Great Britain!”
