The Ambassador of the United States of America, Michael Murphy, responded to the President of the Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, after he declared yesterday that the USA is the enemy of the RS.
He said that the USA is not the enemy of the RS, nor of anyone else in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“Even though Mr. Dodik would like you to believe that he speaks on behalf of all the inhabitants of the RS, he does not. The USA is not the enemy of the Serbs and the inhabitants of the RS know it. The USA is not the enemy of anyone in Bosnia and Herzegovina. I clearly stated in my in a recent interview, how the US supports and helps the people of RS. We are proud to be their partners and we will continue to be,” said Murphy.
He believes that he has, as he stated, always had friendly relations with the citizens of RS.
“I do not feel threatened by the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, including the residents of the RS. In fact, my relations with the people of the RS have always been warm and friendly,” he stressed.
According to him, it is clear to them that Dodik is facing serious and important problems in the coming weeks, which he has brought about by his own actions, and that he is trying to create a crisis in order to divert attention from his troubles, because he wants to avoid responsibility. Murphy said he would not participate in it.
