Ambassador Murphy concluded in his conversation with the head of the Islamic Community Reis Kavazović that interfaith dialogue ensures reconciliation among all peoples in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

US Ambassador to BiH Michael Murphy visited today with Reisul-ulema of the Islamic Community in BiH Husein ef. Kavazović. One of the main topics of this conversation was the importance of interfaith dialogue in BiH, along with understanding the role of religious leaders in the reconciliation process.

“I emphasized to him that the United States remains fully committed to the territorial integrity, sovereignty, and multiethnic character of BiH and its Euro-Atlantic future,” Murphy said.

This visit by Michael Murphy is one of many that the outgoing Ambassador has visited BiH, during which he met with leading politicians in the country.
