kugThe Museum of War Childhood, a collection of child items from the war, got its premises in the Sarajevo Municipality of Stari Grad.

Municipal Council of Stari Grad decided to allocate the space in the former Social House Logavina to this Museum.

“We are glad that the Museum of War Childhood will be situated precisely in the Municipality of Stari Grad, one of the most important municipalities in Bosnia and Herzegovina. We thank the Municipal Council and the Mayor for recognizing the importance of this project. We are also happy because this Museum will be located in one of the most recognizable streets of Sarajevo, Logavina Street, and in accordance with our mission we will be able to create educational contents for the local community, with special emphasis on children. That is how the Museum of War Childhood will be recognizable for what it is – a museum of all citizens of BiH,” stated the Association URBAN which gathers the initiators of the Museum.

Young people who were children during the aggression on BiH donated to this Museum their personal items and memories that evoke war and war childhood. The idea of the initiators is to turn the Museum into a tourist destination that will offer an archive and research center as well.
