ministersThe Council of Ministers of B&H defined the Proposal of basics for negotiations for conclusion of the Agreement between the Council of Ministers of B&H and the Government of the Republic of Macedonia, on the mutual recognition and exchange of driving licenses, which will be submitted to the Presidency of B&H for further procedure.

The agreement will regulate the mutual recognition and exchange of driving licenses that are issued by the competent authorities in B&H and the Republic of Macedonia to owners of driving licenses who legally reside on the territory of other contracting party, without having to take the theoretical and practical exam for driving categories and subcategories of motor vehicle for which the original driving license has been issued already.

Provisions of this agreement do not exclude the obligation of fulfilling of the administrative formalities that are required by the regulations of each contracting party for the replacement of driving licenses, such as filling the application form, the submission of medical certificates, paying fees etc.

The applicant for a replacement of driver’s license must fulfill requirements in terms of age which are prescribed by the legislation of the contracting parties where the replacement of driving license is taking place.

At the time of replacement of driving license, the equivalence of categories and subcategories of driving license that is issued by the competent authorities of the contracting parties, will be determined according to the table of equivalence which are Appendix to Agreement, as announced from the Information Service of the Council of Ministers of B&H.
