The Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of B&H Mirko Sarovic announced that the export i.e. the first convoy with milk and dairy products from B&H to Croatia, actually the EU, starts today.
“With this, we have disabused those who did not believe we are capable of doing all the work in several months. I expect the first deliveries from the Dairy in Kozarska Dubica, and there will probably be an occasion to celebrate this”, said Sarovic to the journalists in East Sarajevo.
Sarovic stated that progress was achieved regarding the issue of the export of meat and meat products, especially to Turkey, as well as the success in ensuring quotas which will, according to him, enable the rehabilitation of the cattle fund of B&H.
“That will rehabilitate several plants and hundreds of producers in Bijeljina, Gradiska, Banja Luka, as well as enable the constant work of the airports in Sarajevo and Banja Luka. The Airport in Banja Luka persists because we have enabled it to have at least two flights to Turkey every day, and thereby we will ensure the survival of our airport”, Sarovic said.
Sarovic said he is satisfied with the foreign trade exchange which B&H realized in July, because for the first time since the end of the war the export exceeded 800 million BAM.
“For the first time in the post-war history, we have achieved 800 million BAM of export and the coverage of import by export amounting to more than 60 percent”.
