NS assemblyDeputies in the National Assembly of RS (RSNA) supported unanimously the Statement of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the principles of accession to Bosnia and Herzegovina to the European Union (EU).

At a special session that ended last night, the RSNA adopted conclusions in which it is stated that the National Assembly supports the proposed text of the Statement of the BiH Presidency on the principles of BiH path to the EU.

The RS Government, elected representatives from RS in the BiH Parliamentary Assembly and the Council of Ministers are asked that during the execution of the principles of this statement rigorously abide to the constitutional jurisdiction of the entities and reject any solution that is not in accordance with the same.

Upon accepting the Statement and adopting the conclusions, the special session of RSNA initiated by RS President Milorad Dodik was concluded.

In his closing speech, Dodik said that the acceptance of the conclusions of the RSNA showed unity and that he would sign the Statement today as the president of SNSD.

“Serious work is yet to come,” said Dodik, noting that he was not very optimistic when it comes to implementing the principles set out in this document.

He said that this statement and the reforms that have been imposed do not go in direction of development, but they demand more austerity and sacrifice.

At the end he confirmed that SNSD would not participate in the work of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH as long as Šefik Džaferović is the Chairman of the House.
