The National Assembly of Republika Srpska will consider today the Proposal for a Resolution on the Protection of Serbs in Kosovo and on the Territorial Integrity and Sovereignty of Serbia, which welcomes the right of Serbia to defend the survival of the Serbian people in Kosovo if the Kosovo Albanians and their authorities decide to use violence.
The resolution, proposed by the President of the National Assembly of the Republika Srpska Nenad Stevandić, welcomes Serbia’s right to defend its territorial integrity and sovereignty, guaranteed by international law and UN Security Council Resolution 1244, as a right that no one can dispute or take away from it, it was announced. from the Parliament of the Republic of Srpska.
The document also condemns the constant violation of human rights of Serbs and other non-Albanians, especially the right to life and property, by Kosovo Albanians and their authorities, and calls on representatives of the international community to seriously condemn it.
On the proposed agenda of the third regular session of the National Assembly of the RS are proposals for laws on amendments to the Law on Police and Internal Affairs and the Law on Secondary Education, both under urgent procedure.
Deputies should also consider the Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on Execution of Criminal and Misdemeanor Sanctions of the Republic of Srpska, the Draft Law on the Preservation of the Cultural and Historical Heritage of the Holy Hilandar Monastery – proposal of the President of the Republic, the Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on Preventing Conflicts of Interest in Authorities of the Republic of Srpska and the Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on Misdemeanors of the Republic of Srpska.
The deputies will also have before them a consolidated report on the execution of the Republika Srpska budget for the past year, a report on the work of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the previous year, as well as a report on the work and financial report of the Commission for Concessions for 2022.
Deputies will consider the report on the work and the rebalancing of the financial plan – the budget of the public institution Solidarity Fund for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases, conditions and injuries of children abroad for the period last year, the annual report on the work of the Ombudsperson for Children for 2022, the annual report of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the past year, as well as the annual report on the results of the activities of the Ombudsman Institution for Human Rights of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the year 2022.
The deputies will also have information on the decisions on pardons in 2022, the Proposal for a decision on accepting the debt of Republika Srpska from the World Bank – the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development for another employment support project, and the Proposal for a decision on the criteria for evaluating the level of development of local self-government units in the Republic of Srpska.
