National Delicacies and Interesting Things on Diplomatic Winter Bazaar

The Diplomatic Winter Bazaar, the biggest humanitarian event of the year, was held in the Hall Mirza Delibasic in Sarajevo.

This is the event that gathers almost all embassies and international organizations that are operating in BiH to join together to “return hospitality”, and represent their national cuisines in the best way possible, as well as to give an opportunity to visitors to buy some unusual gifts. The entire income raised at this event will go for humanitarian purposes.

The wife of British Ambassador to BiH Caroline Ferguson stated that more than 40 embassies and around 60 local NGO’s joined embassies and took part at this event.

“We have prepared a lot of things for adults and children this year. There is a lot of different content. We will have face painting, lego, an interactive workshop, and lots of things will happen at the stage as well,” explained Ferguson.

She noted that all the money raised on this day, and last year it amounted to a total of 130,000 BAM, will be distributed to several non-governmental and humanitarian organizations in BiH.

Deputy Chinese Ambassador to BiH Zhou Yan expressed their pleasure for having the opportunity to participate in this bazar as an embassy.

“I think that this is a great opportunity for people to feel and get to know different cultures, ideas and traditions. This is also a great opportunity for us to do something for the charity as well,” stated Yan.
