The Commission to Preserve the National Monuments of BiH declared Karadjoz-bey’s bridge, which is located on Buna River, as a national monument of BiH in 2003.
However, according to the findings of the Commission, the state of the original form, structure and material of this bridge is quite damaged and a set of protection measures was determined, including the one regarding the ban on traffic across the bridge. However, this protection measure was never enforced.
In order to protect it, the Agency Old Town of Mostar made a decision to start the public procurement procedure for preliminary works of investigative character with the project of restoration of Karadjoz-bey’s bridge in Blagaj near Mostar.
Estimated value of the public procurement amounts to 34,000 BAM without VAT, and the funds are secured through revaluation of the budget of the City of Mostar.
The deadline for the submission of applications is December 18, 2017, and the work should be completed within 60 days.
