These days, local communities and Termag d.o.o are working on a conceptual solution for a sports airport in Sokolac.
For some time now, there is already an idea for the development of a sport airport that will begin with a representation of dragons and ultra light aircrafts. What should be emphasized is that the current government understands the importance of this idea and its realization.
With its position and climate, which means a large number of clear days, Glasinac, and therefore Sokolac is the ideal place for the construction of an airport.
The airport in Sokolac was planned even before the war as an alternative to the one in Butmir, which is located in the western part of the city and has no possibility for expansion due to capacity problems, position and dense population in the area.
