12781963_1735453273358016_1635086899_nNational Museum of BiH announced a really fantastic setting, the exhibition World of aquatic and wetland habitats, which will be opened on Monday at 3 p.m.

Besides numerical aquatic animal life, certainly the most popular part of the settings will be the skeleton of a whale, for which many visitors believe that is in fact the skeleton of a dinosaur.

“The exhibition is our long-term project. From the first day when only the skeleton of a whale and the monk seal, certain species of fish and birds was set up… Back in 1954 great white shark was caught near Senj in Croatia and brought here. Unfortunately, the setting was destroyed during the war a lot, as well as the room where it was placed. Only thanks to the curators, the setting is saved, although the skeleton of a whale was broken. The restoration of the exhibition, which was worth around 30,000 BAM, lasted for 4 years,” said Kotrosan, curator of the Department of Natural Sciences of the National Museum.

This wonderful exhibition is organized by conservators Fedja Cehajic and Boro Zuza. They were working on it for years, even during the time when the National Museum was closed. The setting looks so realistic, with water presented with plexiglass and polyester.

“We wanted to animate young people and to present the exhibition in a new and interesting way. The people deserve to see most of what we offer, but we need a support in order to realize that,” said Kotrosan and invited everyone to visit the world of aquatic and wetland habitats.
