NATO allies at a meeting with Ukraine made it clear that they will continue to provide major military, economic and humanitarian aid to that country in the face of a Russian invasion that has been going on for almost two years, NATO said on Wednesday.
In a statement after the video conference, NATO added that the member states presented plans to provide aid worth billions of euros to Ukraine in 2024, according to Reuters.
“NATO strongly condemns Russia’s missile and drone attacks on Ukrainian civilians, including weapons from North Korea and Iran,” said NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.
He said that while Moscow is stepping up its strikes on Ukrainian cities and civilians, NATO allies are strengthening Ukraine’s air defenses.
Ukraine was represented at this conference by Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk, Commander of the Kyiv Air Force and Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Oleksii Serhiiev.
