The border police of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced that a large number of travelers were recorded at our borders during the past weekend.

Increased traffic at the border crossings was recorded on Friday. 32,085 citizens of BiH were recorded at the entrance to BiH, while 30,070 were recorded at the exit. 77,602 foreign nationals were recorded at the entrance to BiH, while 59,153 were at the exit from BiH.

The total number of foreigners and citizens of BiH on Friday, at the entrance and exit from BiH, was therefore 198,910.

On Saturday, the third of August, 37,257 citizens of BiH were recorded at the entrance to BiH, while 36,706 were recorded at the exit. Foreign citizens entered the country at 85,104 and exited at 65,195.

The total number of foreigners and citizens of BiH on Saturday, at the entrance and exit, was 224,262.

On Sunday, 32,928 citizens of BiH were registered at the entrance to BiH, while 41,729 were at the exit. 74,106 foreign citizens were recorded at the entrance to BiH, while 77,724 were recorded at the exit from BiH.

A total of 226,487 foreigners and citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina entered and exited on Sunday.

As for the airports, according to the records of the GPBiH, 33,956 people were registered at the entrance and exit of BiH for the weekend.

All of this means that a total of 683,615 people were recorded at the border crossings this weekend at the entrance and exit from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Members of the Border Police point out that they are making maximum efforts to ensure that the traffic takes place with as few delays and crowds as possible, but given that it is the tourist season and increased traffic, delays at the border crossings can be expected in the coming days as well, especially on weekends.

“We ask all travelers for their patience and understanding, and we suggest that, instead of the most frequent border crossings, they use alternative border crossings. We hereby also remind you of the decisions of the Mixed Commission on the recategorization of border crossings for border traffic, which you can find on the official website of the BiH Border Police,” they said from the BiH Border Police.
