-The BIH Minister of Finance and Treasury Nikola Špirić and the Russian Ambassador to BiH Aleksandar Bocan-Harčenko asserted at today’s meeting in Sarajevo that in the last few months the activities between the BIH and Russian resource ministers have intensified in the preparations of the bilateral agreements necessary to improve the business environment and the protection of foreign investment.

With this in mind, it is expected that by the end of August discussions on the agreement on the avoidance of double taxation will begin between the BiH Ministry of Finance and Treasury and the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation.

During the meeting, the issue of clearing debt of the former USSR was actualized, as well as repayment of war debts for gas that BiH has towards Russian companies.

During the meeting, they discussed the current political, economic and security situation in BiH, and activities tied to the normalization of the work of institutions at the level of BiH, announced the BIH Ministry of Finance.
