Neira Kurtovic, IV grade student and the winner of the scholarship of the Municipality of Stari Grad Sarajevo for exceptionally gifted students, will participate on the Olympics in Brazil, which will be held from the 26th to 30th of October.
Neira already represented our country 2 times at the IMO (International Mathematical Olympiad), which is the world’s most prestigious competition in mathematics for high school students.
“To participate in the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) is a dream of every mathematician. Competing side by side with best mathematicians makes such adrenaline, for me, an extraordinary experience, which cannot be compared with anything else,” said Neira.
Her participation on the IMO, last year in South Africa and this year in Thailand, was supported by the Municipality of Stari Grad, and this young girl is using every opportunity to express her gratitude to the municipality and the Mayor Hadzibajric.
It is very encouraging fact for me that my engagement is recognized and supported by the Municipality of Stari Grad,” she said.
This time, the municipality ensured promotional materials for Neira to use at the Olympics Mostratec in Brazil.
