In the Zenica neighborhood of Nemila, work on a biomass plant with a capacity of 3 megawatts began. This is a joint project of the Czech Development Agency and municipality Zenica worth 5 million BAM.
In the first phase of heating 90 households and 4 public institutions will use the system.
This is the least populated area in the Balkans that has such a principle of termal energy. Unlike residents of Zenica, in Nemila users of the heating plant will pay only for the amount of heat energy that they use because spending is measured in calorimeters.
In the next two years the biomass plant in Nemila will deliver to the Maglaj Natron Hayat.
