marAdmission of foreigners is one of the exclusive jurisdictions of state institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Assistant state minister for human rights and refugees Mario Nenadić told FENA that in that context, the Law on Movement and Residence of Foreigners stipulates that the Ministry of Security of BiH and the Ministry for Human Rights and Refugees are tasked with taking care of refugees and migrants.

He recalls that the Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees for ten years has the capacity for normal functioning and acceptance of the usual number of foreigner and refugee reception center in Mostar capacity of about 400 people, which currently has a number of vacancies.

The Ministry, he says, will provide to all persons in Bosnia and Herzegovina accommodation, food, health and social welfare and all that entails international legal protection.

“This new situation with the possible admission of foreigners gave us new tasks and responsibilities. We are following the situation and we conduct adequate consultation, especially with the representatives of the Ministry of Security, and the competent international organizations (UNHCR and OSCE),” he said.
