roditeljiThe founding of the first network of the Association of single parents and single-parent families in B&H was made official yesterday in Banja Luka with the signing of a Memorandum on cooperation of four representatives of this Association.

The network was founded by Association of single parents ‘Ponos’ from Banja Luka, Association of single parents ‘Velika Porodica’ from Sarajevo, Association of single-parent families ‘Iskra’s’ from Pale and Association of single parents and divorced parents ‘Norne’ from Tuzla.

This network was formed from the longstanding efforts of the Associations, one-parent families, single and divorced parents to create a better social and legal environment for this group.

Although there are no official data on the number of single parents and single-parent families in B&H, it is known that every year there are 1.400 divorces, which means that every year 1.000 new families have a problem with what to do next. According to the latest data, ten percent of the total number of single-parent families is made up of fathers.
