meetingChairman of the Municipal Council of Center Sarajevo Nedzad Ajnadzic yesterday hosted the representatives of the Football Association of BiH (NSBiH) – President Elvedin Begic and General Secretary Jasmin Bakovic, and honorary president of NSBiH, Ivica Osim.

On the meeting was presented a major investment project of reconstruction and modernization of the Olympic Stadium Asim Ferhatovic Hase.

Chairman Ajnadzic said that the project of modernization and reconstruction of the stadium ”Asim Ferhatovic Hase ” is first on the scale of priority that the Municipality of Centar is planning to implement in the future.

“We should all gather around the realization of this major project that is not only important for the Municipality of Centar, but also for the city, the state of BiH, and the Football Association of BiH. I want to form a lobbying team that will select all those interested to talk about the stadium, and joint working team that will actively work in order to realize the idea of reconstruction and modernization of the stadium,” said Ajnadzic.

“So far, investors from Hungary, Kuwait, the consortium from Germany, and investors and shareholders gathered around sports giant Bayern Munich expressed the interest. It is necessary to find a solution that will satisfy all parties, and we must do that together,” said Ajnadzic.

Assistant of Municipal Mayor for Urban Development and Municipal Affairs, Alma Sadovic, presented preliminary solution developed by the renowned architectural firm “Art”.

“During the preparation of this solutions we took into account the requirements of FIFA and UEFA. Besides modernization of the stadium and meeting the requirements of FIFA and UEFA, we need to provide a project that will solve the parking, the protection of athletes, supporting facilities, hotel and catering services, shops etc, in order to offer investors a vision of what we want,” said Sadovic.

Director of the Center for Sports and Recreation, Jasmina Polic, expressed her satisfaction with the fact that the Municipality Centre placed this project as the top priority.
