New Highway: from Sarajevo to Entrance in Herzegovina in 10 minutes

250801402axOne of the most challenging sections of the corridor Vc Vlakovo – Tarčin, which is 22 km long, will be opened in early October, was announced on TV1.

The section consists of three sub-sections, Vlakovo Lepenica – 10.1 km Lepenica Suhodol – 5.5 km and Suhodol Tarčin – 4.6 km. The total amount of money spent for the infrastructure of the previously mentioned section amounts to 370 million Euros.

On the section seven tunnels, seven bridges and viaducts, loop Vlakovo, loop Lepenica and resting place Lepenica. One of the largest buildings on the section of the tunnel, “25th November “is long two thousand and eight hundred meters and only slightly shorter than the tunnel Vijenac near Zenica.

Opening for traffic of this section will be add 80 modern kilometers of highway from Zenica to Tarčin, and our country will have a total of 102 kilometers of highway. The journey from Sarajevo to the entrance of Herzegovina will be significantly shorten and will last for only ten minutes.
