Zeljko ObradovicReal estate (land, buildings and other objects) represent goods of great importance, both for the community and for each of its members. The prompt and properly recorded property, as well as up to date real property relations among their customers, are a prerequisite for their better and more rational use.

The goal is to have that all the information on real estate and real property in one integrated database in order for citizens of the FBiH not to have to go for information in the land registry, and then in cadastre, thus losing time and money by paying two fees.

“We want to have everything under ‘one roof’, in one agency and to pay one fee. This is our vision and we want to round it up with the new law. Of course, we are ready to certain compromises, all in order to offer our customers, primarily citizens, to get data on their real estate in a simple and fast way. We want to modernize and simplify land administration system and all within the existing competence,” said Director of the Federal Administration for Geodesy and Property Affairs, Zeljko Obradovic.

Data of land survey and cadastre are used for economic, scientific, administrative and statistical purposes, proving the law and regulation of borders, privatization, restitution and other needs.

Among the activities planned for 2017 is the reconstruction of land surveying, drafting of the topographic database and updating topographic maps of 1: 5000, land consolidation and development of a database of real estate cadastre for parts of municipalities, the establishment of real estate cadastre, address number register etc.

“Of great importance is the development of the new digital ortho-photo plan (aerial recordings) for the entire territory of the FBiH, which will actualize the overall spatial data in the FBiH,” said Obradovic.

For the Administration for Geodetic and Property and Legal Affairs of FBiH, on the basis of this year’s budget, were determined total funds in the amount of 1,758,906 BAM for the implementation of the Plan for land survey and establishment of real estate cadastre but this institution realizes the biggest project through donor funds and loan funds from the World Bank.
