New Project to save the Museum: Seksan, Vuletić, Grebo and many others on call Today

muzejWithin the civil campaign “I am Museum” today are starting daily on calls in the National Museum.

“On call in the Museum” is part of the campaign which calls for solidarity with the employees of the National Museum. This initiative will gather public figures, cultural and sporting workers, academics and students. With a concrete act of solidarity, they will send a message on the urgency of solving the situation in which the Museum is, and invite the authorities to stop ignoring the catastrophic situation of workers of the National Museum, said organizers.

On call duty will last from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and it is expected around 10-15 people to rotate during the day. They will have the opportunity to see how does it look one day of the employees of the National Museum, to visit the museum’s collections as well as the the exhibition “Guardians of the Museum” and record the video message with whom they will appeal to resolve the status of this institution. They will also sign on the symbolic panel “On call”, as well as in the book of impressions that will remain the property of the institution.

On the first day, the 3rd of August 2015, following will be on call in the Museum: Vedrana Seksan, Srđan Vuletić, Zdravko Grebo, Adisa Bašić, Ibrahim Spahić, Danijela Dugandžić, Dubravka Zrnčić-Kulenović as well as Memnuna Zvizdić and Mirjana Musić (“Women to Women”).

A day later, on Tuesday the 4th of August 2015, on call will be: Adnan Jahić, Fr. Nikica Vujica, Gorana Mlinarević, Besima Svraka, Alija Pirić, Jasna Jelisić, Selma Spahić, Moamer Kasumović and novelist Ferida Duraković, who will be reading poetry with her friends from the PEN Center of B&H. Activity “I am Museum” started with the exhibition of artist Zijah Gafić called “Guardians of the Museum”, and will include lots of art-action, film projections, concerts and various activities aimed to raise public awareness about difficult situation of this cultural institution and its employees and final solving of this problem.
