New Projects to be started in Banja Luka

The Mayor of Banja Luka Igor Radojicic stated that the last year brought a lot of novelties in the city of Banja Luka, from the preparation of strategic documents to solving some of the communal problems, and the largest problem was heating and construction of the new “Eco-power plant”.

The mayor of Banja Luka announced that they have very ambitious plans for this year as well, and he mentioned several strategic documents.

He also stated that with the budget, which amounts to 134.091.000 BAM for this year, is planned the amount of 20 million BAM for certain forms of investments, and he added that they will go for additional funding in February or March, because the Green Bridge that represents a separate project.

When it comes to the traffic infrastructure, Mayor Radojicic announced the realization of works that were started in the fall and winter, and he mentioned the construction of the roundabout Rebrovac and East Transit, as well as the construction of three new roundabouts that will be funded by the City.

This year is also planned the construction of the Elementary School “Branko Radicevic” in the settlement Starcevica, three new kindergartens, the continuation of the activities related to the construction of children’s playgrounds, several trim-trails and two sports halls.

He noted that funds for continuation of works in the industrial zone were provided through international projects during the last year, as well as for the arrangement of streams and water supply networks, and he added that they are hoping for some resources from foreign sources and donations again this year.
