Experts working on excavation of the tunnel in the Archaeological Park Bosanska piramida Sunca (Bosnian pyramid of the Sun) found an organic material at several locations based on which they will be able to discover the minimal age of the tunnel, but even when they are cluttered.
Samples of the organic material have been taken from the conglomerate and they can determine the age of the deposits and the time when the conglomerate was formed. This will at the same time be the minimal age of the tunnel.
Pieces of organic material have also been found in the loaded loose material that fills the tunnel. These samples will help to determine when exactly were the tunnels closed.
The samples were documented by geologist of the Foundation Mejra Kozlo. They will be sent to radio carbon dating.
The Foundation will, through these new analysis show how important continuity is while confirming the age of the pre-historical underground complex Ravne. So far more than ten samples have been analysed by radio carbon dating. – was communicated from the Foundation.
