New Threats from RS ahead of Dodik’s Closing Remarks

Ahead of the hearing at which the closing arguments in the case against Milorad Dodik will be presented, which is scheduled for tomorrow at the Court of BiH, new threats have arrived from the Republika Srpska.

The Republika Srpska is ready for radical decisions in the event of any verdict in the case, entity officials concluded at a meeting in Banja Luka last night. They welcomed the scheduled meeting of the RS National Assembly Collegium for today, which will discuss the RS Government’s request for the Assembly to be in permanent session, given the current political situation, and in addition, all representatives of the Serbian people and the RS entity at the state level, as well as all employees in state institutions, will withdraw and cease work, the statement said.

The first reactions to the threats from RS officials are also arriving. Ilija Cvitanović, a delegate to the House of Peoples of BiH, says – I do not believe that the intentions are secessionist, but a serious political crisis awaits us.

As a reminder, Dodik previously said that in the event of a conviction, representatives in the RS National Assembly would make certain decisions that would lead to the RS’s exit from BiH.
