Public power utility Elektroprivreda HZHB (EPHZHB) has invited bids to conduct a wind resource assessment for the Poklečani wind farm in the Posušje municipality, according to a notice on the company’s website. The estimated value of the contract is BAM 22,000 (about EUR 11,250).

The deadline to file bids to conduct wind resource assessment for the Poklečani wind farm is July 10, 2019, and offers will be opened the same day. The contract will be awarded to the lowest bidder, and the selected contractor will have eight months to complete the study, according to the notice.

Technical requirements for applicants are provided in the tender documentation, while financial requirements do not exist. Payment will be made 30 days after the completion of the job.

Concession agreement signed in 2014

EPHZHB was awarded a concession to build and operate the Poklečani wind farm five years ago, and the concession agreement was signed in June 2014, according to earlier reports. According to the agreement, the concessionaire is to build and operate 5 MW wind turbines on up to 36 locations at Poklečani.

In April 2010, the Government of the Federation of BiH (FBiH) adopted a decision for EPHZHB to “continue and intensify” preparations for building the Poklečani wind farm, with a capacity of 72 MW. According to that decision, the tentative deadline to complete the construction was end-2014.

According to previous reports, in March 2018, EPHZHB put into operation the Mesihovina wind farm, the first in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with an installed capacity of 50.6 MW. The wind farm’s construction was backed with a EUR 71 million loan from the German development bank KfW. The total value of the project was about EUR 82 million, Balkan Green Energy News reports.
