On Tuesday, the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PSBiH) did not adopt proposals for conclusions on taking measures under the jurisdiction of BiH institutions with the aim of protecting domestic production and introducing temporary protective measures when importing steel and steel products.

The House of Representatives did not adopt the negative opinion of the Constitutional Law Commission on the Draft Law on the Management of Administrative Property of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and this commission is tasked with drafting a new opinion.

The Bill on the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Court of Appeal of Bosnia and Herzegovina, proposed by MP Predrag Kojović, was not adopted.

There was no entity majority for the Proposal for the Law on the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of BiH, proposed by MP Predrag Kojović, as well as for the Proposal for the Law on Amendments to the Law on Labor in the Institutions of BiH and the Proposal for the Law on the Protection of Geographical Indications, proposed by the Council of Ministers.

Deputies today adopted the Bill on Amendments to the Law on BiH Citizenship and proposed conclusions related to taking measures against the director of the Agency for the Promotion of Foreign Investments, Marko Kubatlija, because he was the holder of the DNS candidate list for the Pale Municipality Assembly in the 2024 local elections.

Today, the House of Representatives did not support the appointment of MPs Branislav Borenović, Predrag Kožul and Albin Muslić to the Temporary Joint Commission of both houses of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly for the implementation of the procedure for appointing the director and deputy director of the Agency for the Protection of Personal Data in BiH.

The proposal that MPs Darko Babalj, Predrag Kožul and Denis Zvizdić be appointed to the Temporary Joint Commission of both houses of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH for the implementation of the procedure for appointing members of the Office for Appeals in Banja Luka and Mostar was not supported either.

The initiative of PDP deputy Branislav Borenović for the urgent reduction of multi-hour detentions and the improvement of border procedures at international border crossings in Bosnia and Herzegovina was adopted.

The MPs gave their consent to several international agreements and contracts.

Deputies of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH declared that, without the presence of the proposer, the report on the work of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH for the past year, nor the report on the financial operations and the program report of BHRT for 2025 will not be discussed at today’s session.

Today’s session has ended, and a new one has been announced for July 22.
