At least 11 people have died in the fires in the Los Angeles area. Officials warn that the number is likely to rise. More than 150,000 people have been ordered to evacuate. It is estimated that more than 10,000 homes and other structures have been destroyed. Damage is currently estimated at more than $100 billion.

The governor of California has called for an independent investigation into reports that firefighters had problems with water supply while fighting wildfires in the Los Angeles area.

A nighttime curfew has been imposed in some areas due to looters.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina is closely monitoring the situation regarding the devastating fires in Los Angeles.

According to currently available information, the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Washington and the Consulate General of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Chicago have no information about any injured or killed BiH citizens.
