After the Constitutional Law and the Commission for Finance and Budget, on the eve of today’s session of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, it rejected by a majority of votes a series of proposals on savings, but also on waiving the salaries of elected officials.
Namely, the Commission for Finance and Budget did not support the principles of the Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on Salaries and Remunerations in the Institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, proposed by the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Klix.ba news portal reports.
Also, the Draft Law on Mandatory Contributions of Officials in the Institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the Fight against the Coronavirus Pandemic was not supported, which meant that 20 percent of the salary would be allocated to a special fund for the fight against the coronavirus this year.
The Proposal of the Law on Extraordinary Austerity Measures in the Institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina was also rejected due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This legal proposal envisages that the use of funds for national teams in the institutions of BiH will be banned until the end of this year, that the right to recourse, jubilee awards, and fees for education and professional training will be abolished.
The bill also means that all officials and deputies will have their incentives, hot meals, compensation for overtime work, night work and work during holidays, as well as compensation for separate life, business travel, transportation, and severance pay for going to pension.
