Nobel Prize Winner Muhammad Yunus Arrived in Sarajevo

Yunus novovrijeme.baNobel Prize Winner Muhammad Yunus, banker and economist known in the world as the founder of the concept of corporate social responsibility, arrived in Sarajevo today, in organization of the BBI Bank.

He will sign a Memorandum of Cooperation with BBI Bank and Centennial Fund from Saudi Arabia tomorrow. On that occasion, the managing director of the Centennial Fond Abdul Aziz Al-Mutairi also arrived in Sarajevo.

Yunus was declared one of the 25 most influential people in the world several times by the world media and institutions.

He believes that the society unnecessarily imposed poverty to the people, and that the creation of a world without poverty is only a matter of will. Yunus is holder of many prestigious awards in his field of profession, for exceptional social contribution, and 26 honorary doctorates.

Late last year, the prominent Centennial fond, which is comprised of the experts from the most developed countries in the world, presented Yunus a Lifetime Achievement Award ‘Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah’. The director of the BBI Bank, Amer Bukvic, also received the ‘Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah’ Award for Leadership and Entrepreneurship, it was announced from that company.
