Normalization of Issuance of Passports expected from June 15?

passportMinister of Civil Affairs of BiH Adil Osmanovic announced that the delay in the issuance of passports should be resolved until June 15.

According to Osmanovic, the management of the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers and Data Exchange of BiH / IDDEEA BiH received a guarantee from the company “Muehlbauer”, which is dealing with the production of passports, that they will provide the necessary raw material for the production of passports and enable the issuance of passports after June 15.

“This means that no request will be older than 30 days, i.e. that the applicant for a passport will receive a passport within this period,” noted Osmanovic.

He also noted that he is disappointed in the company “Muehlbauer” that signed a one-year contract with the IDDEEA on March 21, with which this company was obliged to deliver 550,000 passports to citizens of BiH within a year.

Minister of Civil Affairs of BiH believes that the signing of this contract solved the issue of procurement of passports for a year and that there will be enough time to realize the complicated international tender procedure for the procurement of passports.
