The biggest change that characterizes new list of medicines of the Canton Sarajevo (CS) is increased number of trademarks of BH producers, as emphasized from the Health Insurance Institute, on the occasion of the new list of essential medicines that is current from the 15th of July.
From the Health Insurance Institute of Canton Sarajevo emphasized that “Canton Sarajevo has the widest list of medicines throughout the FBiH, respects the list of medicines of the FBiH, and allocates the largest funds for insured persons when it comes to medicines from the List of medicines”.
When it comes to the number of medicines that are taken off the list, it is a total of 521 medicines, mostly in groups of medicines in which there are still some other trademarks of medicine (i.e. the medicine from another manufacturer). The participation of the Institute or the price that the Institute recognizes, was changed for 71 medicine that has been on an earlier list (and it is also at the current one) , as stated from the Institute.
At the same time, they emphasized that a total of 157 new medicines was added to the list, of which 32 medicines were added to 18 new groups of medicines that previously were not on the list, while the rest of the medicines were added to the previously existing groups of medicines.
They emphasize that “with innovation and implementation of mandatory guidelines for the use of medicines was determined the right of person insured by the Institute for which disease, how long, in which time interval and under which circumstances certain medicine can be used at the expense of the Institute”.
From the Health Insurance Institute of Canton Sarajevo emphasized that the mandatory guidelines are an integral part of the list of medicines in BiH and in the region.
