Number of Persons in paid Employment in Bosnia-Herzegovina amount to 830.383

In December 2019, the number of persons in paid employment in Bosnia-Herzegovina amounted to 830.383, out of which there were 356.564 women.

As compared to November 2019, the number of persons in paid employment decreased by 0,1% and the number of employed women increased by 0,1%.

The number of registered unemployed persons in December 2019 compared to November 2019 increased by 0,1% the number of registered unemployed women in December 2019 compared to November 2019 remained the same.

In November 2019, the number of persons in paid employment in Bosnia-Herzegovina amounted to 831.126, out of which there were 356.192 women.

As compared to October 2019, the number of persons in paid employment increased by 0,1% and the number of employed women also increased by 0,3%.

The number of registered unemployed persons in November 2019 compared to October 2019 remained the same and the number of unemployed women also increased by 0,1%.

In November 2019, the number of registered unemployed in Bosnia amounted to 401.359.

If we take 2017 as a base year (2017 = 100) and compare November 2019 with the same month of 2018, it can be noticed that the number of unemployed decreased by 7,1% index points, or in absolute terms the number of people registered as unemployed decreased by 33.999.

In December 2019, the average monthly gross earnings per person in employment in legal entities in Bosnia-Herzegovina amounted to 1.470 BAM, which represented the nominal increase of 5,2% as compared to November 2019.

In comparison to December 2018 the average monthly gross earnings for December 2019 was nominally by 2,6% higher.

For the fourth quarter of 2019, the average monthly gross earning per person in employment in legal entities in BiH amounted to 1.448 BAM, and the third quarter of 2019 amounted to 1.427 BAM, which represent that the average monthly gross earnings was nominally by 1,4% higher in the fourth quarter of 2019 as compared to the third quarter of 2019.

For the fourth quarter of 2019, the average monthly gross earning per person in employment in legal entities in BiH amounted to 1.448 BAM, and the third quarter of 2019 amounted to 1.427 BAM, which represent that the average monthly gross earnings was nominally by 1,4% higher in the fourth quarter of 2019 as compared to the third quarter of 2019, according to the country’s Agency for Statistics.
