Number of unemployed Persons in BiH in lower in May

employmentAccording to the Labour and Employment Agency of BiH, 518.857 persons in total were registered in the employment institutes in BiH on May 31, 2016.

In comparison with the previous month, the number of unemployed persons decreased by 5.204 persons or 0.99 percent. Of the total number of persons who are looking for a job, 270.766 or 52.19 percent are women.

Unemployment in the FBiH decreased by 4.548 persons, in the RS by 548 persons and in the Brčko District by 108 persons.

In the structure of persons who are looking for employment, conclusive with May 31, 2016 there were 140.527 non-qualified workers, 174.034 qualified workers, 2.737 highly qualified workers, 1.431 have low professional qualification, 142.313 persons are with high school education, 7.294 have higher school education and 41.427 have high professional education.

The largest number of registered unemployment persons are with third level education (33.54 percent) and with high school education (27.43 percent).

A total of 16.912 persons were deleted from the registers of employment institutes in May, 10.869 of whom found a job.

At the same time, 5.849 persons lost their jobs, while employees submitted requests for employment of 5.246 new workers.

According to the Agency for Statistics of BiH, the number of employed persons in legal subjects in April 2061 amounted to 724.208, and 299.915 of them are women. In comparison with March 2016, the number of employed persons increased by 0.4 percent, and the number of employed women decreased by 0.2 percent.

The rate of registered unemployment in April 2016 amounted to 42 percent and has decreased by 0.4 percent in comparison with March 2016.
