Family members and numerous citizens welcomed our winners of three gold medals at this year’s International Mathematical Olympiad, which was held in Great Britain, at the airport in Sarajevo. This is the 32nd time that BiH participates in this prestigious competition.

Benjamin Mujkić is a 3rd grade student at Second High School in Sarajevo, Andrej Krčmar is a 2nd grade student at Banja Luka High School, Vuk Janković is a 1st grade student at “Jovan Dučić” High School in Trebinje. This success, as they say, is the crown of their many years of work and effort.

For the first time in 32 independent participations, our country wins a gold medal in this competition, which is probably the most prestigious and oldest science Olympiad on planet earth.

It is important to emphasize that the other students also recorded excellent results, and in addition to three gold medals, one silver and two bronze medals arrived in Bosnia and Herzegovina from Great Britain.

In the team ranking, Bosnia and Herzegovina took 13th place in the competition of 108 countries, which is arguably the best ranking of our country in history, Federalna writes.
