Official launch of the construction works of the new Prosecutor’s Office building

eu_flag_rf123Melvin Asin, Head of Cooperation at the EU Delegation to BiH will visit Zenica today to officially launch the beginning of construction of the new building of the Prosecutor’s Office of Zenica-Doboj Canton, which is financed by the EU.

The Ceremony will take place in the building of the Zenica-Doboj Canton Government (Kučukovići 2) on Thursday, 09 April 2015, starting at 10:00hrs.

Speeches will delivered by Prime Minister of Zenica-Doboj Canton Miralem Galijašević, Melvin Asin, Chief Prosecutor of the Zenica-Doboj Canton Vesna Kaknjo and Member of the HJPC BiH Presidency Zijad Kadrić.

After the Ceremony, Mr. Asin accompanied by the Prime Minister Galijašević and other guests will visit the construction site which is located in the vicinity of the Basic Court building in Zenica (Trg BiH 2).

Media is invited to cover the ceremony (only for photographers and cameramen). Media statements will take place at the end of the tour of the construction site, at 10:45hrs.

The works on the construction of the building of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Zenica-Doboj Canton have started in March this year. The construction works are funded by the EU with just over             1,3 million EUR.

EU has allocated 10.250.000 EUR from IPA 2012 and 2013 for rehabilitation of the 6 priority courts and prosecutors’ offices in BiH.
