One noticeable and successful project will be officially completed soon. Construction and equipment of the ‘Parents’ House’ for parents whose children are suffering from cancer in the FB&H, should be completed soon, and the official opening is expected in mid-April.
The construction of the ‘Parents’ House’ was an inevitable and urgent need, although the greatest luck would be if the house was always empty. Unfortunately, dozens of children today are struggling with the malignant disease of cancer.
“We are finishing the interior works in the house, such as the installation of floors, ceramic works etc. The dynamics of work was not what we have expected, because we announced that the facility could be completed by the end of 2015, but it is in some ways understandable given the complexity of the project and the factors of which we depend on. However, we expect that all of the work will be completed very soon and the official opening is expected in mid-April,” said manager of the Association “Heart for Children Suffering from cancer in FB&H” Fikret Kubat.
“From the very beginning, a lot of people were involved into the construction of the ‘Parents’ House’. Starting from the media who give us unconditional support, through government institutions, religious communities, local companies and ultimately citizens who have also donated significant funds. Through this project, we are all showing the good side of ourselves. The house will make the process of healing and recovery easier not only for children and their parents but also for the medical staff. Whenever a child is not receiving chemotherapy, he/she will be able to stay at the home,” said Kubat.
