OHR: The Constitution of BiH does not leave any Room for the Sovereignty of Entities

The Office of the High Representative (OHR) in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) has commented on certain statements made by the President of Republika Srpska (RS), Milorad Dodik, regarding the economic group BRICS.

“RS is an entity within the state, not a sovereign state itself. It is part of BiH,” the OHR stated.

The Constitution of BiH does not leave any room for the sovereignty of entities. Entities, by their nature, are not subjects of international law, the OHR in BiH announced.

To recall, Dodik stated two days ago that he hopes RS will have the opportunity in the future to obtain observer status in BRICS, an economic group consisting of Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa.
