The mayor of Banja Luka, Draško Stanivuković, will be a PDP candidate for this position in the upcoming local elections, PDP leader Branislav Borenović said tonight.

Borenović told journalists in Banja Luka before the beginning of the Assembly of the Banja Luka City Committee of the PDP that this party with Stanivuković as a candidate will achieve a great victory in the local elections and that the PDP will be the number one party in Banja Luka.

He emphasized that it will be a strong incentive for the next general elections in 2026, adding that large and capital projects have been completed in Banja Luka.

Stanivuković said that everything stated in the party program for Banjaluka for the period 2020-2024 had been done and announced new ambitious plans in the program covering the period from 2024 to 2028.

He stated that the plan is to build a collector on the Vrbas river, a bridge in the local community of Dolac, a high school center with a hospitality, polytechnic and construction school, a promenade along the Vrbas, as well as tram lines in the city area.

At the Parliament, the new City Committee of the party and other organs and bodies of the city organization were elected, Srna reports.
