The Mostar University Clinical Hospital marked the International Day of Support for Epilepsy, also known as Purple Day, which aims to support the patients with this disease in order to raise the level of awareness of epilepsy.

The Center for Peace and Multiethnic Cooperation from Mostar demonstrated the readiness to support the marking of this Day and illuminated the Old Bridge in purple color.

Epilepsy is the most common chronic neurological disease that affects more and more people every year, and it is estimated that there are about six million people affected in the European Union.

The purple day is celebrated on March 26 in more than hundred countries.
