One dead, One seriously injured after the Bomb Explosion in Tuzla

In Tuzla, an explosive device exploded on the first floor of a house, it was confirmed for BHRT from the Ministry of Interior of the Tuzla Canton. One person was killed and one was seriously wounded. The details of the activation of the explosive device are not yet known, and the police fear that there are more bombs in the house, so the investigation has not yet started.

“For now, I can only confirm that on May 18, 2023, at 7:55 a.m., it was reported to the Police Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Tuzla Canton, that an explosive device had been activated on the first floor of a house in the Moluhe settlement in Tuzla. The police officers of the Special Support Unit, SHMP DZ Tuzla, as well as police officers of the OKP PU Tuzla and the Department of Criminal Technique and KDZ. Due to suspicions that there are more explosive devices on the plce, the investigation has not yet started,” the spokeswoman of the Police Administration told us of the MIA TC.

The doctor on duty stated that the person with the initials M.O. (1968) died in an explosion.

Injured patient E.O. she was hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit of the Clinic for Anesthesiology and Reanimation of the University Medical Center Tuzla, with multiple injuries to her extremities, and preparations for surgery are underway, it was confirmed from the Medical University Hospital Tuzla.

More details will be known after the KDZ inspection and investigation.
