Classmates Sign Language fokus.baClass buddies did an amazing thing for the six-year-old Zejd Ćoralić from Sarajevo, who is deaf-mute.

Last year, Zeid’s mother decided to send him to a normal school, but she was unhappy knowing that nobody in the school knows sign language.

His teacher Sanela Ljumanović tried hard to reach Zejd by using some of her tricks and ways of communicating, but she soon realized that it is not really working. That is why she decided to do something amazing for the little Zejd.

The teacher taught the entire class to communicate in sign language!

Three months later, the first class of the elementary school “Osman Nakaš” learnt the basics of sign language. Zejd’s self-esteem increased momentarily!

“Zeid is looking forward to going to school every day, he is happy and motivated,” his mother, Mirzana Ćoralić, said.

His peers are so excited to know the sign language that they have even started teaching their parents to communicate in sign language as well.

“We are all happy to know another language. Our current aim is to teach Zejd to read from the lips. He is a good and smart kid,” his teacher said.
